It's a good, thick fabric that keeps my son nice and toasty, wicks moisture away from his body. It fits tight, so he initially complained that it's too tight (he's six years old, 50 pounds and about 51 inches tall) but got used to it after the first day (the sleeves are a tad longer for him but that's fine). He likes it very much now. I definitely recommend this shirt!
