Great shirt - Everyday Use
rparker1803205:
I just ski weekends now, but this shirt is on every Saturday and Sunday. Great base layer.
Good Stuff
Rett Clevenger:
Color is a little different in person (lighter blue), but great shirt all around.
saved my palms
criverwalk1675809:
After purchasing several icebreaker shirts and found most of them exceptional I decided to give the backcountry-tee merino wool version with thumb loops a try. My daily involves water monitoring activities 12 months in Michigan's UP. While traversing a steep, leaf covered rocky slope, my right foot became entangled in a hidden log, stopping my forward motion, and sending me crashing to the rocks, cracking my left petella; however the backcountry merino tee with its extended sleeves protected my palms as they broke the rest my fall with the 50# pack adding to the force of the impact on the rocks. I considered sending it back for a new one as it stained quite badly and ripped from impact, but it still works. Weather was rain and sleet; with Northface coat and the merino shirt next to my skin kept me warm thoughout the ordeal. Slim fits would be better, otherwise a pure bargin......
The Best!!!!
Steve Tibbitts:
This is the best shirt I have in my arsenal! I use this thing for everything: trail running, hiking/climbing/mountaineering, nordic skiing.....even around the house as my jammeez a lot of the time. Fits true to size, no issues of zippers pulling the whiskers like a lot of companies have and the thumb holes rock! I also like the Merino Crew from Backcountry. They're using the best stuff for these shirts and it definitely pays off. My skin is very sensitive to wool but I've had zero problems with this stuff. Buy it!.... best money you'll spend!
Soft + Warm
Matt Fuller:
The Merino zip tee is a great base layer for a day out on the slopes. It's lightweight, warm, soft, and won't stink. It never rubs the wrong way, and combined with a good wind-proof softshell is enough for me to stay warm on a windy, cloudy, 10-degrees powder day at Alta. Yet another gold star for this site.
