The Thule Xsporter is a heavy-duty truck rack system that mounts to the rim of your pickup bed. The Xsporter gives you a set of bars above your bed that you can use to mount Thule hardware for boats, skis, and anything else that takes your fancy, leaving your bed space open for (you guessed it) more gear. The Xsporter's height can also be adjusted to accommodate different gear needs. The Xsporter comes in sizes for compact and full size pickups.

The bolts that hold the frame mounts to the side of the truck bed are a little squirrelly. The way that the bolts are intended to hold down a pressure plate doesn't seem very productive, given that vibration tends to loosen the bolts, and the pressure plates drop out.Overall, it's a good system, but the mechanics could be designed a little better, IMHO.

This site had the best deal on the xsporter by far and the shipping was lightning fast! I love this rack. I bought it to carry my 16' canoe and my two bikes, but found that I use it to carry a lot more than that. When helping someone move, I wound up loading the rack with their refrigerator, plus other various things like a floor lamp and ironing board. Both fridge and rack stayed secure and unharmed, except for the squashed insects on top of the freezer.
