Big Agnes Iron Mountain Air Sleeping Pad description

The Big Agnes Iron Mountain Air Sleeping Pad will have you sawing logs in no time. At 2.5-inches thick, this deluxe pad provides plenty of cushioning for all types of summer overnightersfrom backpacking trips to car camping. But plush comfort doesn't have to mean lots of bulkthe Iron Mountain fits into an included stuff sack that's about the size of a Nalgene. Bonus: This pad comes with a repair kit, and if you have a Big Agnes sleeping bag, you can deflate the Iron Mountain while it's still in the bag's pad sleeve, and stuff it all into a compression sack.

Bottom Line: A deluxe air pad for summer slumbers.

Great Pad
Angus Bohanon:

Blows up huge (15 breaths) and packs down small. It rolls easily, fits in the stuffsack easily, and it's really cushy and nice to sleep on. One problem I could see is rolling off of it, but I move a fair bit in my sleep and I've never done it. It's great to sleep on the back or on the side. I can't think of anything wrong with it at all.

Great for backpacking - 4 Stars
TunaFishJoe:

would recommend this pad to anyone backpacking. It's one of the lightest pads out there, and the thickness lets you sleep on any rocky surface. I had to set up camp on the worst terain ever last night; sticks and rocks were all over the tent floor. Once I blew this up and layed down I couldn't feel a thing. I know my night would not have been as comfortable with a regular foam or self-inflating pad.My only complaints are the slickness of the material and the amount of time it takes to inflate the pad. If you move around a lot when you sleep you will fall off. Aditionally it takes about 30 full breaths to fill it up; after a day of backpacking this is a little difficult to do.If you're going backpacking you need this pad. If you're going car camping get an air matress.
