Pack your Big Agnes Three Wire Bivy for your solo peak-bagging adventure, backpacking trip, or bike tour. The waterproof breathable Three Wire Bivy doesn't take up a ton of room in your pack, and it provides protection from rainstorms and biting bugs. This Big Agnes bivy comes with poles that provide you with 20 inches of head space so you don't get that claustrophobic, I-can't-breathe feeling. Close the bivy entirely in a storm or opt for the mesh window to deter mosquitoes and get air circulating. The DAC Featherlite poles are lightweight yet durable.

Best bivy Ive ever seen or used. Easy access, lots of space, and less condensation "as far as I know" than any other. If you love the outdoors as much as I do, you need one of these. Its worth the higher price!

Only two poles that are connected by a plastic hub (like one pole really since they are connected), so there's not much mystery. Easy set up. The one pole goes into the "hood", and the other is placed long the brim of the hood into grommets on the sides. It is similar to the Bibler Tripod Bivy only there is no pole to create foot room. This bivy is slightly more roomy than the Bibler Tripod. The dimensions are on the Big Agnes website. I haven't tested it in a nasty storm yet, but so far it's a nice bivy.

Just had my new, three-wire bivy out on a 5 day trip in the White Mountains. One night I had to squat through the remains of a hurricane, and the bivy did a great job keeping me dry. Condensation on the hood and pole was moderate, but 3-4 inches of rain fell overnight. Construction, fit, and finish are all good. I'd prefer if the zipper were a bit longer-- making getting in and out easier. I have Big Agnes sleeping bag and pad, and the whole group work together beautifully.
