There's nothing like a little comfort food after a long day of hiking. Mountain House's Freeze Dried Beef Stroganoff meal for two is just like mom used to make only it's lighter, tastier, and well, you have to make it on your own. It comes in a foil package that stands up on its own for easy eating and cooking.

Stroganoff is my favorite flavor. Consider repackaging to save weight. At the end of a long day treking, climbing, & clawling; your body is calling out for the calories. You'll swear the Stroganoff is the best thing you've ever tasted. I'm a big active guy and I eat two servings for dinner. One serving makes a pretty good breakfast too.

Makes a satisfying meal. Just boil water and dump it in the foil package. Wait a few minutes and serve. Noodles have nice bulk and the flavor is pretty good for freeze dried. The teen age boys in our group gave it a thumbs up. Only draw back is the carrying out the packaging.

Tastes like "homemade" stroganoff. This meal is always included on every backpack trip
