Just because you smell like a monkey after three days on trail doesn't mean you have to eat like one. Mountain House's Freeze Dried Rice and Chicken meal for one is light, easy to make, and best of all, tastes great. It comes in a foil package that stands up on its own for easy eatin' and cookin'.

Along with the Mountain House Beef Stroganoff, I usually take a MH Rice and Chicken with me on trips. While the "1 serving" package isn't enough IMHO, it was a nice compliment to a side of vegetables. Easy to cook and very light.

Nice packaging, simple preparation, & the Pro-Pak stores easily especially if you're packing in a lot of food. On the downside it's loaded with sodium, in fact almost the entire RDA/RDI in one meal. This is unnecessary to improve taste which didn't help anyway. Filling @ best.

Call me a pig but I usually eat the two serving meals. This one is not that way. It is delicious and filling. For this meal the 1 serving is plenty. Enjoy.
