I got the smallest size square style to put my Prolite 4, pillow, and sleeping bag into and they would work even better if they came with lateral compression straps too. Otherwise they are top quality. Just buy some extra straps.

Good product. The square sack is a little easier to fit into your pack and still put other things around it. I bought two small sizes and find that I could use one even smaller.

What to say about this sack? Well, it's both good and bad. My tent is now compressed to half of it's original size, my clothes are now all together in one smaller bag, and my backpack is now more organized and easier to load and unload. But, now that I have all of this "extra" room in my backpack, I bring the kitchen sink. I recommend buying a smaller backpack, once your compression sacks come in.If they could improve anything on this design, it would be to add horizontal compression straps (or maybe they already have them, I have not checked). These sacks are easy to load and unload. They come with a grab strap on the top of the bag for easy pulling out of a tight backpack. Compression sacks are definately an essential for backpack organization.

They might as well give you these with your packs... essential to keep the bulk down when carrying sleeping bags and anything that can be compressed.

I searched and searched all stores within a 100 mile radius of my house and could not find this product. I found it here and they promptly shipped it to me. As expected with all my Granite Gear products, this Square Rock Solid Compression Sack is well constructed and allowed me to pack six days worth of technical clothes into one bag small enough to be my carry-on on a flight to Baja. I always turn to Granite Gear for a product to meet my packing and storage needs and now I will turn to this site to meet future shopping needs when I can't find the product locally.
