I bought this ice axe after 3 days of reading reviews. One of them said that any ice axe up to 100 bugs is good enough. They were right. I've chosen a 66cm version of Grivel Nepal. Long enough for hiking in boulders and short enough to fit on the backpack. get Grivel crampons and no glacier will stop you. I got them both and like it. I tested it on glaciers in Beartooth MT when attempting Granite Peak. This stuff works as desired.
