The GREEN RIVER FAMILY ADVENTURE

Set aside this year’s vacation for a wonderful family adventure on one of the West’s most scenic whitewater rivers. A Green River expedition is your opportunity for an active vacation where you and your family paddle through over 50 exciting rapids in inflatable kayaks. Our guides are with you at every stroke to provide instruction, tips or give you a break on the "mother raft." Younger children often enjoy this trip riding in the company of our guide on the big raft, while parents and teenagers tend to like the challenge of going it on their own! Either way, it’s the perfect trip for the adventurous, active family.

This great family expedition will accommodate children of all ages and people of all fitness levels. Folks can choose whether to paddle their own inflatable kayak, try paddling a raft as a family, or small children, and those who don’t want to paddle, can ride the mother raft. There are more rapids than any other of our river tours, but they are less powerful and intimidating than those on the Colorado River. Fitness Level: Average. Able to play and paddle in the water, but you don’t have to swim.

The Green River lies in a wide river canyon. Its banks are lined with giant old cottonwood trees intermingled with juniper and pinion. The green of the trees stands in stark contrast to the red rock cliffs, making this one of the most beautiful – and little appreciated -- canyons in Utah. You’ll encounter rapids almost every single day of your expedition – over 50 in all! This is more rapids than on any other of our Rafting expedition! These are good-natured rapids, easy to learn on and play in. The rapids are rolling and playful in their disposition yet give eager students the opportunity to learn to read and negotiate the river. You can choose your own vessel, too: inflatable kayak, family paddle raft or the "mother" raft
